Frequently asked questions

we recommend women steam two to three times per month, always during weeks in which you are not on your monthly cycle. Women who suffer from pain, bloating or exhaustion during menstruation should steam two to three times (before a menstruation). Women who are experiencing fertility challenges should steam once per week, and maybe twice during pre-ovulation, to make sure their vaginal tissue is moist, that the cervical fluids are clear and copious. They should expect to steam for three months before seeing results. For the postpartum, we recommend waiting until the lochia has passed and any external wounds have closed before beginning to steam usually just a few days. You can then steam 2-3 times per week for 3-4 weeks to facilitate healing and toning of the uterus and vagina. Women who are experiencing or who have passed menopause should steam at least three times per year for maintenance, but may steam more often if it feels right

For some women, the uterus will not entirely shed every cycle, creating a build up as time goes on.   The herbs used in yoni steaming will support with the shedding of the build-up, therefore you may see ‘bleeding’ or some kind of matter coming out. This is a sign that the yoni steam is working and is a part of your body rebalancing itself!
